Joining Pathfinder Parachute Group on a round parachute static line course, will teach you to exit the aircraft and control a round military parachute down to a safe landing. This course is suitable for first time jumpers.
The course includes at least a minimum of six hours of ground training before your first parachute jump from 2,000ft.
This is a 5-jump course that will earn you your Dutch B Wings, and allow you to participate in our parachute events in Arnhem and Normandy.
In addition all course candidates will be issued our club proficiency wings and a certificate after 3 jumps
The course dates for Teuge Parachute Centre in Holland will be as follows:
20th to 24th April
14th to 18th September
The fee for this course is £700
Additionally, we are trying to organise a course in France from 1st to June 5th June, but this has not been confirmed yet.
After completing a course you can then join us on our events as shown on our events page.
Each course includes 5 parachute jumps and the rental of all necessary equipment, excluding personal clothing.
The course fee includes third-party liability insurance for parachuting for the 5 jump course.
If you wish to continue after 5 jumps, you will need to take out full KKVvL membership or a foreign equivilent and/or third party liability insuarnce.
In addition to the course cost, participants are required to provide proof of personal travel insurance that covers parachuting and repatriation.
You will be required to wear suitable clothing as shown in our clothing page.
If you wish to confirm your participation a deposit of £200 will be required to confirm your booking.
You will need to arrive with a passport type photograph to add to your license. Print your name clearly on the back.
All lessons are given in English, so all students need to understand basic English.
We recommend that you refrain from booking flights, ferries, or accommodations until you receive the necessary joining instructions, which will be provided once the minimum number of students are confirmed.
Any external expenses incurred by you are not the responsibility of Pathfinders.
Should you make arrangements for a transport and accommodation, it is essential to have travel insurance to cover these costs in the event of your inability to attend or if the course is cancelled for any reason.
The maximum age limit in Holland is 50, unless you possess prior parachute experience. The minimum age limit is 16 with parent’s consent. The maximum weight is 100kg.
It is also required that you maintain a reasonable level of fitness. Should you fail the ground school assessment due to insufficient fitness, you will not be permitted to jump, and refunds at this stage are not possible but your jumps stay on file to be used for up to two years.
Timings during the course: 9am to 6pm. However, to overcome weather restrictions please be prepared for changes.
All students must arrive by 8.30am on the Monday for the start of the course.
In certain instances, it may not be feasible to complete all five jumps during a course, due to adverse weather conditions.
In such cases, Pathfinder Parachute Group will continue to provide training at no additional cost until you have completed all five jumps at one of our subsequent course dates, valid for the next two course dates after your original course.
Before being permitted to jump during our events in Arnhem and Normandy, you must have a minimum of five jumps, with your logbook endorsed by one of our instructors to confirm your canopy control proficiency.
All jumps on the course will be out of the parachute centres Cessna Caravans. Larger aircrafts are organised for events where possible.
